Everyone is looking spic and span these days – our proximity to civilisation, hot water and tailors and other Alexandrian amenities has wrought a considerable change in the appearance of all. Barathea uniforms, the dust shaken out of them, and dulled buttons polished to shining perfection, are now definitely in fashion and parade turnouts these days are particularly smart.

Wing advises that, Owing to supply difficulties, we will probably be moving back for about a month to the vicinity of SOLUCH where flying training will be carried out. It is anticipated that thereafter the Squadron will be used for low-level attacks on harbours and shipping.
The idea of moving back definitely does not appeal to anyone. Seven more pilots and observers left for SOLUCH to undergo night flying training.

Early in the morning a formation of our aircraft took off to bomb PENNE and create a road block there. The bombs undershot and fell in the Southern portion of the town, a few falling in the town itself causing one fire. NO enemy opposition was encountered but bumpy weather made bombing difficult.

Later in the morning our aircraft again attacked PENNE. The target was well covered, direct hits being registered on buildings and roads.
