Tortorella, Italy

Early in the morning a formation of our aircraft took off to bomb PENNE and create a road block there. The bombs undershot and fell in the Southern portion of the town, a few falling in the town itself causing one fire. NO enemy opposition was encountered but bumpy weather made bombing difficult.

Later in the morning our aircraft again attacked PENNE. The target was well covered, direct hits being registered on buildings and roads.
