Eleven Marauders were airborne from Iesi Landing Ground at 12.50 hours led by Lieut. Brunette to bomb Engine Sheds at TREVISO Marshalling Yards. No. 2 Box consisting of six aircraft was 30 minutes late at rendezvous (owing to a reshuffling of aircraft and leader was unable to contact his box satisfactorily on R/T) and returned at 14.43 hours after jettisoning bomb load at sea. Leading box of five aircraft, with a close escort of six Mustangs also carrying bombs, attacked from 11,200 feet. Pattern fell slightly to the left of the Engine Sheds and straddled Railway line with direct hits on houses, railroad trucks and tracks. Heavy, ack-ack, slight, inaccurate, when crossing coast on way to the target, near mouth of the PIAVE River; no enemy opposition in target area. All aircraft landed at base by 15.35 hours.
