Pescara, Italy

One raid to-day. Twelve Baltis airborne at 09.06 hours to bomb RIMINI Jetty with close escort of eight Spits. First box undershot slightly, most bombs fell amongst built up areas starting one black fire and small explosions. Second box overshot, bombs falling into sea beyond jetty. All aircraft landed by 12.00 hours. Sortie Report No. 753.
Another air raid alarm sounded at 12.10 hours, all clear sounded 20 minutes later. Becoming quite a habit these alarms. Usual Squadron routine.
