Tortorella, Italy

At 0900 Hrs. our aircraft set off to bomb TOLLO. Bombs fell to the EAST of target in broad pattern. The second and fourth Vics dropped incendiaries before the 500 lbs. bombs, and a large explosion was observed at the cross roads.

In the early afternoon another raid was carried out on the town of POPOLI, the target being a road junction in the Northern section of the town. The leading Observer bombed too late, all the bombs overshot and fell to the EAST of the town in a short concentrated stick.

Lieut. K.E. Willmott (Pilot), Lieut. R.H. Borcherds (Observer), 2nd/Lt. F. Loots (Gunner) and 2nd/Lt. A. Walker (Gunner) left the Squadron on their way home to the Union.
