December 29, 1943

Tortorella, Italy

Although still very cold, the weather conditions had improved sufficiently to allow an operation to be carried out. The target for this raid was a merchant vessel anchored WEST of SKRADIN, YUGOSLAVIA. The attack took place at 12,000 feet; most of the bombs overshot in the very bumpy weather, but one bomb fell slightly short of the target.
