Lt. Col. Coppen left for the African coast and relinquished the Command of the 21 Squadron. We learn that his successor is Lt. Col. J. F. Britz, D.F.C, who in Abbysinia, was a member of the famed forerunner to this Squadron, and also a pioneer of the Squadron. So we bid farewell to another O.C, who has rendered sterling service in the 7 months he has Commanded the Squadron. Lt Locker , our famous Transport Officer, also left this morning. He has also rendered excellent service and his loss to the Squadron will be felt. He has at all times kept our ‘gharries’, although ‘clapped out’, going and has never spared himself in trying to improve the transport situation.
