PANTELLERIA Landing Ground was again bombed by a formation of 18 Baltimores led by Capt. CORMACK, the bombs fell on underground shelters and across the Eastern edge of the L.G. One direct hit was scored on a building. Heavy explosions accompanied by bomb bursts and one column of smoke rose to 4000 feet. Near misses on aircraft were observed. Approximately 20 small and large aircraft were seen. A box of intense A.A. bursting between 6000 & 12000 feet was put up over the L.G. The barrage was behind the formation. Oprep No. 290.
