A minor stir has been created by accusations that the troops in this vicinity are responsible for one incident of rape and the shooting of two Senussi. As direct evidence in both matters is not forthcoming and nobodies can be produced, it is more than probable that the stories emanated from fifth columnists among the Senussi, most of whom are friendly at present. O. C. No. 3 S.A. Wing has instructed, however, that all firearms and explosives, not on issue, be withdrawn from Officers and other ranks.
