L.G. "Y"

The departure of aircraft went to schedule with the exception of one which broke a tail wheel just before take-off. This repair delayed the departure of the convoy of ground personnel which left L.G. “Y” at 07.25 hours. L.G. “Y” is to be Squadron B.L.G. during the present phase and administration is moved to L.G. 98. At dusk the convoy reached L.G. 98 – all vehicles in.
The Squadron had six aircraft on each of three raids today, the targets being enemy landing grounds where aircraft were bogged. This represents the first day of operations since the Squadron retired almost ten months ago.
Sortie Reports Oprep. Ref. Nos. 84, 85, 86.
