Much excitement occasioned in the Squadron when six Baltimores hove into sight – our third flight from the Union arriving in the Middle East. As the aircraft were still to be modified they were left at KASFAREET where they landed and the crews were brought to SHANDUR by transport. This flight, which left the Union on August 28th, 1942, was led by the Officer Commanding, Lt. Col. A. D. IRVINE.
