Some consternation was caused in camp to-day when three patients who reported sick at the M.T. room were found to be suffering from Malaria. They were taken off to No. 106 General Hospital. We had, during the time we were here, been plagued by considerable numbers of rather determined mosquitoes at night but there had been no indication that this was a malarial area.
Prompt precautionary measures were therefore taken to-day, mosquito cream was liberally applied before personnel retired for the night and nets were securely tucked in under beds. Mosquito boots were also issued to all personnel and orders enforced that long sleeves and slacks are to be worn at sunset.
