Despite the erroneous and oft-times misleading news items it would appear that the position on the front is far from satisfactory. Today saw an influx of Boston Aircraft and crews from both 12 and 24 Squadrons who were using L.G. 98 and 99 as Operational Landing Grounds. Both these squadrons have put up a magnificent show in this campaign and it is a thousand pities that twenty one is not with them to assist in sharing the heavy burden they are called upon to bear. All possible assistance was given and the Messes and living quarters were placed at their disposal.
Flare path was provided by the squadron and the Bostons of both 12 and 24 Squadrons carried on the good work throughout the night. Coffee and sandwiches were prepared for the hungry aircrews on their return.
