L.G. 98

A Wellington landed here today bringing a crew to take-off another “Wimpy" which had made a forced landing near this L.G. some time ago and which had been serviced on this 'drome by an R.S.U. crew. A number of interested spectators watched the unusual sight of two Wellingtons taking off in succession from our runway.
Air Vice Marshall K. Parks, D.F.C., A.O.C Egypt, paid his second visit to the Squadron after arriving at the S.A.A.F. Base Camp this afternoon. He informed the O.C., Lt. Col. Irvine that he was paying an inspection visit to the Base Camp and the squadrons in this area.
