The Squadron "Silly Sandphoneys" all had a big thrill this evening when they carried out a half-hour broadcast from the Egyptian State Broadcasting Studios in a "South Africa Presents” programme. Reception, owing to technical hitches, was not good in camp but what could be heard of the programme seemed very good indeed.
Reports from other units in our vicinity who had better reception indicate that the fare provided by our "Sandphoneys” was well up to standard.
