L.G. 98

The camp was practically deserted after nine am today, all the holiday-makers having departed, most of them for Palestine and Syria. We are all certainly being provided with opportunities of travel and sightseeing which might not have been ours but for this war.
The O.C., Adj., Cypher Officer, Engineer Officer and the inevitable "Japie” had also decided on a holiday for jaded nerves, and, leaving Capt. Fogarty in charge of the camp, they left, in another whirling dust-storm for a trip through the countries mentioned—they will certainly find the break welcome!
