As to-day was again a "stand-down” for the Squadron, the time was spent profitably by a number of our pilots in carrying out Air to-ground firing on an improvised target range.The red flags were placed to warn all and sundry of the firing practice and according to one report the only casualty was a stray camel which paid rather heavily for its scorn of our pilots’ shooting abilities!
The first "mass movement" of "Union cases" took place today when 8 former 11 Squadron details were sent home on the exchange system. Speculation as to the next departure date is rife among all the 11 Squadron details who still remain with us.
