L.G. 021

Operational Orders for today gave GAZALA aerodrome as our objective and shortly before noon, nine machines took the air, headed by Major Fowler, for this target. Unfortunately visibility became so bad after half-an-hour’s flying, that the machines were compelled to turn back, everyone arriving back in time for lunch.
During the first few weeks of this month full attention was being paid to the mobility of the squadron and advices received today in the shape of Administrative Order No.3 from Air Headquarters, Western Desert giving full particulars of action to be taken in the event of a move being made, resulted in a final “check-over" that all would be in readiness for any immediate move that might be required. Officers in charge of various sections were instructed as regards their particular duties in the event of a move taking place.
