All roads (more or less) led to 0.21 tonight, at least as far as surrounding South African squadrons were concerned, for a general invitation to S.A.A.F. squadrons in our neighbourhood to attend the first of a series of concerts to be held at full moon every month met with a good response.
The tent erected as a concert-hall proved too small to hold all the visitors, most of whom however were able to participate in our effort at brightening up desert life. The object of these Informal concerts, as stressed by the Officer Commanding, at the conclusion of a successful "first night", was to bring together our fellows-in-arms and stimulate and encourage the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation through these meetings.
