Our Signals Section, after many initial snags, was now functioning well. The snags that had been struck were mainly due to lack of sufficiently well trained personnel, lack of equipment and the welter of administrative work that was suddenly thrust on the Signals section. It was felt that some preparation for "what we were about to receive" on our move into the Western Desert, could have been made by the authorities while we were still at SHANDUR, particularly from the point of view of Administrative work that would be required. However, all’s well that ends well and the Signals section was now able to cope efficiently with the demands made on them.
