The bitter cold and rain returned today – with a vengeance. Our Op today was a failure and the aircraft had to return without dropping their bombs owing to insufficient cloud cover.
A formation took off at 12.02 hours to attack troop concentrations EAST of TOLLO. Bursts were seen from the first box along the NORTHERN portion of the target; the second box bombed along the SOUTH WESTERN portion. Direct hits on the road were observed. Slight Heavy Ack Ack, accurate for height only, was encountered on the turn off.
