The only shows today were two further shipping searches over “Mare Nostrum!!” for Musso's valiant navy, but it seems to be their washing day and they were probably drying out the clothes (white of course) in some Itie harbour. Neither recce, was successful for the aforementioned reasons (we think!!!)
Although the concert was a great success there still seemed to be a spirit of unrest or repressed feelings particularly among the aircrews but the Jolly old lid was blown right off the top at a 100% honest-to-goodness hellfire drunk up at the officers Mess this evening. The excuse was the second "pips” of the majority of the observers, the “stand down" of the morrow and the South African issue brandy (whoopee)!

Nil operations. A signal was received from Advance S.A.A.F. H.Q.’s to the effect that a Transit Camp has now been established at BARI and that all personnel returning to the Union were to be posted there.
