As an anti climax today was not so hot, another BENGHASI show with but moderate results, visibility was bad and the target small. It's a long tiring flight with a short stop on the outwards run at L.G. 75 and the "Benghasi Old Boys" are having their fill of hard long weary flying. The O.C. and the Adj. attended a conference at Wing and plans were discussed for moving squadron advance parties to L.G. 76. Col. Preller and his Adj. Major Black were also present at this conference.

No flying today, the cause presumably being the lack of a target. Oprep No. 134
Message of Congratulations from Field Marshal SMUTS and reply by Major General F.H.THERON
Instructions received from No. 3 Wing for our Advanced Control Party consisting of 12 details comprising a skeleton crew for topping up purposes, to move forward at dawn tomorrow. The destination is not stated but it would seem that the original intention of moving to one of the HANEISH 'dromes has been abandoned owing to the rapidity of Jerry's retreat which is now turning into a rout.
