The Officer Commanding, Lt. Col. Pretorius, attended the first meeting of the Tactical Committee at Headquarters 204 Group a message intimating further particulars in regard to the committee stated that it was decided to form a tactical committee representing all phases of operational effort, the principal divisions being Fighters and Bombers.
The Committee formed at the meeting was under the Chairmanship of Air Vice Marshal Coningham with Lt.Col. Pretorius Col. Willmott (representing the fighter squadrons) and a Wing Commander, representing the Blenheim wing, as members. Various aspects of aerial tactics were discussed at the meeting, in the light of past and future requirements of squadrons in the Western Desert.
Flying training continues. No. 103964 Lieut. R.R. KLETTE and one other rank posted to S.A.A.F. Depot – non-effective.

Meeting of heads of sections regarding the mobility of the Squadron and to arrange the contemplated move to L.G. 98. Each section is to be self-contained for all movement purposes and this is to apply in respect of all movements during the coming offensive.

Signal received from 3 Wing calling for all operationally serviceable aircraft to be at L.G. 98 by 18.15 hours today or, if impossible, by first light tomorrow. A reply was sent that all serviceable aircraft would leave by first light tomorrow which met with Wing's approval.

The O.C. who had flown to GERBINI with flying personnel, visited the Squadron. More rain made things more uncomfortable for every one and turned the staging area into a quagmire.
