Final arrangements for making the Squadron completely ready for operations were taken in hand today.
A “clean-up party” on the job at L. G. “Y” arranging for the arrival of the main body of the squadron to-morrow.
Formation and general flying continued to-day.
An armed recce of roads was carried out by eight Baltimores. Bombs were dropped from 8000 / 11000’ on various courses.
Twelve Marauders in three boxes of 4 aircraft set out to attack a Road Bridge at M.629274. The first and third boxes overshot, bombs falling in open country. The second box had a 40 yards overshoot and straddled the road alongside Canal. Moderate, fairly accurate heavy A.A. encountered, two aircraft being holed. Last aircraft down by 13.51 hours.
