Colonel Wilmott arrived by a Communication Squadron aircraft at 09.00 hours from Heliopolis to visit No. 21 Squadron semi-officially, having just arrived in M.E. to take Command on a new S.A. Wing.
He stayed the night and departed the following morning at 10.00 hours.

Shandur, Egypt

Leaving only a working party at KASFAREET the Squadron moved to this station this morning. The move was completed before noon and a number of aircraft were also flown over from KASFAREET. The day was spent in settling down in the new quarters, the major portion of the Administrative Section being housed in permanent building.

This was an important day for the Squadron, as our new Commanding Officer, Lt. Col. Britz, reported for duty. Lieut. A’Bear, left for CASTEL BENITO by air, on posting as a Transport Pilot, to No. 28 S.A.A.F Squadron. F/Sgt Metcalf was Commissioned and Appointed, Engineer Officer of this Squadron.
All W/T Air Gunners reported to 3 Wing for an interview with a Commissioning Board. Four Aircrew members and one R.A.F ground crew, reported for duty. Squadron Routine Order 60/43.
