Work is proceeding on the Baltimore aircraft. By arrangement with 107 M.U. a hangar has been allotted for this squadron’s use and under these favourable conditions, work is proceeding apace. There has been a noticeable improvement in the general spirit of the men now that they have their own aircraft to work on.

Four Baltimores took off from HAL FAR at intervals from 2015 Hrs. last night to attack road LINGUA GLOSSA Northwards to coast at eight different points from 8500’ to 12000’. The road was clearly seen, but NO results from the attack were observed. All aircraft landed at LUQA. Sortie Report and Crew List.

Rear party
A sight-seeing trip was arranged for some senior N.C.O.’s. The trip was quite interesting and it was observed that there were picturesque scenes on the Island. The part seen was highly cultivated and hardly an inch of soil was uncultivated. Also good defensive positions were observed, which gave the impression, that if the Sicilians really wanted to fight, it would have been a rather difficult job for the Allies to conquer the Island.
