Major H.F. RECK arrived at noon to-day to take over duties from Major W. S. O'BRIEN, who is to return shortly to the Union after a lengthy tour at duty in the Middle East for a well– deserved rest.Notice to move has again been received by the Squadron.The entire squadron is to move to KASFAREET and in terms of the postagram authorising the move (from Air Headquarters Egypt) is to "make all preparations for the reception of aircraft”. We have been informed the move is necessitated by the unsuitability of EL FIRDAN as an operational or base aerodrome owing to the shortness of its runways.A small party which included the M.O. was sent to "spyk out the land" at KASFAREET (L. G. 212) and returned with a somewhat unfavourable report – the area in which we are to camp is wholly unsatisfactory for the accommodation of the entire squadron.‍

1427 Twelve Baltimores led my Major JANDRELL bombed ADRANO village. One box undershot slightly and the other one’s bombs ran up the Eastern half of the village. A.A. Slight and inaccurate.

Rear Party
The Junker piloted by Lt. Col. MOSSOP and a Baltimore piloted by Lt. EATON left for MALTA.
All Cape Details left the Squadron for CASTEL BENITO. About seven replacements arrived from CASTEL BENITO. Wing notified that the N.M.C would report for duty tomorrow. A cinema show was given by the Americans in the evening.
