El Firdan

Lt. Col. IRVINE returned to the squadron late this afternoon bringing the news that our first Baltimores are expected to leave the Union in about eight days time. All personnel will be looking forward to the arrival of these aircraft as most of us feel it's about time we began to do something in the present campaign in this part of the world.
Lt. Col. IRVINE is returning to the Union tomorrow to assist in the collection and ferrying of the Squadron’s aircraft to the Middle East.

Two Baltimores raided TRAPANI/MILO L.G. Slight inaccurate A.A. was encountered. Aircraft bombed on E.T.A. Both aircraft landed at MENZEL-TEMIME, CAP BON on return, owing to bad weather. “Oprep" No.330, Sortie Report and Crew List.
Two of Belgians (Wireless Operators) posted to 12 Squadron.
One other rank posted in from 24 Squadron.

Pescara, Italy

No raids to-day. Weather inclement, slight rain followed by a typical Transvaal thunderstorm which made the fellows quite homesick. Another air raid alarm at 11.25 hours. All clear at 11.45 hours. Fourteen new details arrived to-day. The Squadron is gradually getting ready for its "D" day when the change over on to Marauders takes place. The Officers beat the Sergeants in a game of Soft Ball this evening.
