News received today that Lieut NEWMAN. our popular “Quarter-bloke” And ex-cypher officer was to be transferred to Headquarters as Staff Legal Officer. The squadron owes much to the efficiency of this officer. Starting from scratch, with no knowledge of Q matters he succeeded in re-equipping this squadron in a most satisfactory fashion. He has been a tower of strength in assisting with “extra mural” functions and the concert party will be the poorer with the departure of their stage manager cum producer. Lieut. NEWMAN is a barrister in civil life and will doubtless find himself at home in his new job.
