Nothing to report except an early morning disturbance caused by another raid in the small hours by Jerry on ALEXANDRIA.
This raid seems to provide an example of the Fifth Column activity that is rife here. A convoy arrived in ALEXANDRIA only yesterday and though no recce. aircraft were reported over the harbour for the day. Jerry was there in force in the darkness of the early morning.
No operational flying. "Oprep” No. 296
Nothing further of importance to report except that a party under W.O. MITCHELL left for CAP BON to salvage J.U. 52’s.
The targets on both operations to-day were gun positions near PONTECORVO. Sortie Reports Nos. 671 & 672.
